A native from Thailand’s ‘City of Angels’, Bangkok. Kay Monney, got a university degree at the faculty of fine arts in Chiang Mai before venturing into the Thai film industry.
On assignment in Phuket, she decided to call it a day and then spent 20 years as a PADI dive instructor and cruise director on luxury dive yachts.
She cruised in the gulf of Oman and throughout Southeast Asia. The cruising area including Myanmar archipelago, Thailand, Malaysia and the entire Indonesian Archipelago. As far north as the Sangihe Archipelago and as far east as West Papua, Raja Ampat.
Kay Monney having been involved in building and designing one of the largest wooden schooners in Indonesia – 62 m. As well as designing a 56m motor yacht, she took up another education with the Maritime Training Academy in the UK in Superyacht re-fit and re-build.
Her in-depth knowledge of yachts and extensive experience with demanding high-end clients on a day-to-day basis, make her the perfect addition to Northrop & Johnson’s charter team in Phuket, Thailand.
